Our Practice

Dr Judith Barnes Clark and Dr Amy Guzek founded HIP Kids Pediatrics in 2017. As mothers ourselves, we believe that firsthand experience with parenting and families enables us to form meaningful relationships with families. We value treating every child and family as if it were our own, because that is how we truly relate to our families.  We serve families throughout the Phoenix metro area, including Ahwatukee, Chandler, Tempe, Laveen, and Maricopa.

Judith Barnes Clark, MD, FAAP

Dr. Barnes Clark was born in Kingston, New York and grew up between Poughkeepsie and New York City. 

She attended the New York University School of Medicine and completed residency at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center program. 

She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics, Arizona Chapter. 

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, traveling, camping, skiing, ice skating, fishing and attending sporting events. Her favorite days are pajama days and those filled with swimming with her girls!

Amy Guzek, MD, FAAP, IBCLC

Dr. Amy Guzek was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois and grew up in Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates, Illinois. 

She attended MIT receiving her BS & MS in electrical engineering. She then attended the University of Arizona College of Medicine, completing her residency at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center. 

She is passionate about helping new parents and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). 

She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics, Arizona Chapter. 

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, and can be found attending their activities when not working. Her favorite things are beach vacations, animals, and spending time with friends and family.
